About
Megan Leung is a visual artist residing in the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies. Her career in science communication and visual arts both aim to start a conversation about the beauty and fragility of our natural world, and the importance of fighting for it.
Outdoor
These climate art workshops typically focus on our immediate surroundings, noticing the beauty within the landscape and the science behind these natural systems through an immersive experience. The artistic media and specific themes with climate/environmental science can be customized for each group. Open to all ages.
Indoor
These workshops can dive deeper into any specific themes and content within climate and environmental science with access to power and technology, allowing participants for a heavier educational portion and more holistic understanding. The artistic media can be customized for each group. Open to all ages.
SciArt talks
Whether it be at a standalone presentation, sitting on a panel, a round-table discussion, or at an art exhibition, I offer personalized content regarding climate and water science, Arctic science, science inspired art, and everything in between that can be catered to any age group and in accordance with the Alberta curriculum (K-12) and post-secondary education courses.
Murals
We can work together to create a unique design to showcase various surfaces such as indoor or outdoor wall spaces that illustrate our shared values and vision.
Paintings
Rectangular, circular, trapezoid, or anything in-between, I enjoy working with canvas and wood alike to create unique pieces from content to shape, small to large scale, on any environmental theme.
